Managed Nextcloud hosting in the EU

You put the environment together yourself in the configurator: the number of users, the storage and the components you need, with the monthly price updating live on screen. Your data falls under European law and the GDPR and is never used to train AI models. By default we work with European partners without a US parent company, keeping the risk of access under the US CLOUD Act as low as possible. Each additional user costs €1.82 per month and you can cancel monthly.

Your own private Nextcloud environment in your own branding, where you share files, manage calendars and contacts, chat, make video calls and work together with your team. ASE Cloud Services takes care of installation, updates to Nextcloud and its apps, security and monitoring. You only manage your users and your data.

Included in the base environment

• Files (Nextcloud Files): store, share and sync, with version history and share links protected by a password and an expiry date.
• Calendar and contacts: shared within teams and connected to your phone and mail client via CalDAV and CardDAV.
• Chat, calls and video meetings (Nextcloud Talk): inside the same environment, with no call data leaving the EU.
• Tasks and notes (Deck, Tasks, Notes): kanban boards, task lists and notes for each team.
• Apps for every device: desktop and mobile apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.

1. You build your environment in the configurator: users, storage and components. The monthly price adjusts straight away.
2. You enter your details and pay online; VAT is calculated correctly and automatically for businesses and private customers in the EU.
3. Your environment is created automatically and set up in your branding.
4. Within 15 minutes you receive your login details by email.
5. In the customer portal you manage your subscription, invoices and users, and start a migration.
6. If you want to stop, you cancel monthly. There is no minimum term.

Your team works in the browser or in the apps. Below are three screens from a Nextcloud environment run by ASE Cloud Services: a text document and a presentation in Collabora Office, and the shared team calendar.

The price is built up in three layers. Your team shares one environment, so you pay for the base only once; only what is used per person is charged per user.

• The base environment, €9.18 per month. Your own private Nextcloud environment shared by your whole team, with no resources shared with other customers. Includes the first user, 50 GB of storage, management, updates and support.
• Per user. Each further user costs €1.82 per month and automatically adds 50 GB to the shared storage. You switch on Collabora Office only for the users who need it, for €1.83 per user per month.
• Per environment. You switch on the video back end, call recording, Whiteboard and virus protection once for the whole team. The price stays the same, whether you have three users or thirty.

You switch components on or off month by month; you only pay for what you actually use.

Worked example: ten users with the base only cost €25.56 per month (€9.18 + 9 × €1.82) and have 500 GB of storage between them. Add Whiteboard and Collabora Office for five of the ten users and that comes to €41.60 per month; with Collabora Office for all ten, €54.20. By comparison: Microsoft 365 Business Standard costs €12.13 and Google Workspace Business Standard €13.60 per user per month (Dutch list prices excl. VAT on an annual contract, as at September 2026).

Every user brings 50 GB with them. That storage is a shared pool: if one colleague needs 80 GB and another 10 GB, there is nothing to reallocate. If you need more, you can expand at any time in blocks of 50 GB for €1.82 per month, up to 100 TB.

You carry out the migration yourself; ASE guides you on request. As soon as your environment is ready, you get access to the customer portal and request the migration there. For Dropbox the connection is fully automatic; for Google Drive and OneDrive, ASE activates the connection for your environment once. After that you sign in to Google, Dropbox or Microsoft yourself, directly on their own login page. ASE never sees, stores or processes your password. The import of files, contacts and calendars runs in the background and you are notified automatically when it has finished. We use only the official Nextcloud integrations for this, not scripts of our own.

For us, managed means you do not have to give it a second thought. Security updates, bug fixes and new versions of Nextcloud and the installed apps are rolled out for you, so you are always on a supported version. Apps that are no longer maintained or that threaten stability are disabled. Your environment is protected by multi-factor authentication (MFA), encrypted connections (TLS) and protection against brute-force attacks, and the infrastructure is monitored 24/7.

Our infrastructure is designed for disaster recovery. You make your own backup of your data using the export function, or you ask us about the options. Always keep your own copy of particularly important documents as well.

Your environment runs on infrastructure with 99.9% server availability and 99.95% network availability. Tickets receive priority support with fixed response times, and we announce planned maintenance in advance. The exact terms are in our SLA. Support is provided by ASE Cloud Services, in Dutch and English, by email and through the customer portal.

Your environment sits in a data centre within the European Union and falls under European law and the GDPR. Because we work with European partners without a US parent company, the risk of access under the US CLOUD Act stays as low as possible. There is no monitoring of the content of your files and your data is never used to train AI models. Only your users and, for maintenance, our administrators have access; we record that in a data processing agreement. ASE Cloud Services is certified to ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701 and ISO/IEC 42001.

You remain the owner of your data. Nextcloud works with open standards and open formats, so you can export at any time. If you cancel, your environment remains fully available until the end date; export your data before that date. After that we permanently delete the environment and your data.
