• Where is my data stored and processed?

  All data is stored and processed exclusively in GDPR-compliant European data centres. We do not use non-EU cloud providers, ensuring that your data always remains subject to European law and is protected against intelligence legislation outside the EU.

• What are ASE's security measures?

  We implement enterprise-level security measures, including end-to-end encryption, multi-factor authentication, regular security audits and continuous 24/7 monitoring.

• Can you integrate chatbots with existing government platforms?

  Our chatbot answers citizens’ queries. To this end, the chatbot is embedded on the website to a certain extent. Integration with platforms such as MijnOverheid and DigiD is not required. In such cases, the citizen takes over manually.

• Are your solutions accessible to all citizens?

  Absolutely, our chatbots are WCAG-compliant, accessible to people with disabilities and support multiple languages, such as Dutch and English, to ensure inclusive service provision.

• How do you ensure reliability and transparency in crisis situations?

  We offer comprehensive auditing and logging to ensure transparency, as well as robust fallback scenarios to guarantee reliability, even during peak periods or in the event of disruptions.

• What happens to the data generated by interactions between members of the public and the AI chatbot?

  Interaction data is stored securely in European data centres, in accordance with the GDPR and Dutch government guidelines. The chatbot does not request any personal data, and anonymised data is used to train the chatbot to improve its performance. Data is automatically deleted after the agreed retention period, with reports available to ensure transparency.

• How do you support public sector organisations in carrying out Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)?

  Our AI chatbots do not request any personal data, which simplifies the PIA process. We provide support by supplying detailed documentation and data flow diagrams that comply with GDPR and Dutch government guidelines. Our team works alongside your privacy officers to ensure that the implementation of our chatbot meets all PIA requirements, with transparent reports for audits.
